After The Rain

Macro sure is a lot of fun.
The sun came out a bit today so I took the chance to snap some macro shots of the plants around my house.
But I still can't handle the weight of this lens so I still can't focus my subject accurately.
So next time,........

I'll use a tripod!

Sigma APO 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro - Macro Test Shot

So I got a new lens yesterday, a budget telephoto with macro capabilities lens - the Sigma APO 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro.
Yes, it is extremely cheap for a lens of its kind.
The macro feature is of course, not a true macro. But its magnification for macro is 1:2, which is pretty decent. And the image quality is also very good, considering its price.

I tried the macro feature out by taking shots of one of my flatmates. I'm still not used to the size and weight of the lens so I couldn't really hold my hands well when I shoot, and the focus point always shift because of that.
But all in all, I think the lens is awesome!
The zoom range is very convenient, the macro feature is a wonderful bonus and the price is to die for!
Very impressed!

Agfa Optima II - Test Shots

I got the camera for like $1.99 on T'Me a couple of months ago, but never got the chance to use it because I was to broke to buy any films. And I suck so bad at putting in films in my film cameras that everytime I do have the films, they ended up being ruined before I even get to shoot anything.

This one got stuck after the last shot above. It was a really cloudy day, and for a camera that senses light and sets its shutter speed automatically depending on the surrounding light, it was not the most ideal environment for it to work in. So the shutter got stuck at the end, and the film refuses to wind further.
Me being the noob thought that, I somehow had finished the roll, and so I took the roll to get developed before we realized that the shutter was stuck.
But I managed to un-stuck the whole thing, and I now have another roll half-used in the camera.
Can't wait to get it developed!
